To celebrate International Yoga Day 2018, we thought we'd share our top 5 reasons why we love yoga.  

1. REDUCE STRESS

It has been scientifically proven that yoga practice can ease stress significantly. Specialist believe this is because your heart rate is lowered and your body becomes more flexible in responding to stress. For optimal stress release, try focussing on your breathing while practicing relaxing asanas.

2. IMPROVE FLEXIBILITY, STRENGTH AND POSTURE

Most of us with desk jobs have experienced what 8 ours of sitting does to your posture and flexibility. Luckily yoga does wonders restoring our bodies. Even if you have never tried yoga before, practicing simple poses each day will help you feel the difference in your muscle flexibility and strength. Some asanas to try for improved posture include the Bow Pose, Cobra Pose, Standard Forward Pose and Tree Pose. This can also help relieve aches and pains that may be caused by bad posture.
